Cinematography - Task 5

MOULIN ROUGE  2001 ‧ Drama film/Romance

At first you are introduced to fast paced editing and transitions showing off the editing budget. this can cause visceral pleasures to the cnsumer as it hypes the viewer and makes them interested about whats happening after. the two main types of shots forecasted in this scene is mainly close-ups and medium shots. This also another thing that causes enigma codes and raises questions as the viewer is restricted of they could see, this could keep them engaged and makes them uncomfortable since they want to know and learn about whats going on in the scene. The close-ups contain many hyper-sexualised women which gives the audience a sense of sexual escapism, also this is factor that could introduce the narrative of the movie beause this is a romantic film.

Most if not all of the cinematography elements work well with the editing and post sound production. Synergy links the parallel sound of the scene with the image on screen. It makes the audience identify with the scene and not be freaked out if something doesn't seem right, for example horror music on-top of the video.
